Happy Heart, Happy Dog
My dog is probably one of the pickiest dogs I have ever met. I have tried dog treat after dog treat and he refuses to eat any of them. More recently, he was diagnosed with a heart murmur and is on a fairly strict diet. I bought this product, hoping that he would eat it, but expecting for him to turn up his nose. To my happy surprise, he absolutely loves them and I have to keep a supply in the house!!! His vet has also approved of them, so everyone is Happy!!! 2008-07-02

Awesome treats
I have a little Yorkie, and he is very finicky about his food and treats. We have tried several brands of dog food as well as treats. This brand hit a home run with my dog "Bentley". We buy all the different treats from Dogswell. He loves them all. This is really a great price on these treats. Will buy more. 2008-05-21

Made in China - but has been evaluated by a lab
I have had dogs all my life. I used to only give dog food & table scraps for years. I noticed with a poor human diet of my family & dog food they died early and/or had many issues.
We had one dog that would not eat dog biscuits of any kind if made with grains & would rather starve then eat kibble. If fed canned dog food w/grains he was lethargic & had bad gas. That is when realized dogs cannot digest grains.
Our dog now within a year of his birth was very lethergic, moody, depressed & seemed to have arthritis even on no grain kibble. Within a month of given only rice added dog food he was more energetic & no more arthritis. He still had a little issue with rice, so we find very simple dog food or rarely give it to him & give him human grade canned or refrigerated pre-cooked meat with frozen veggies, pre-cooked eggs & olive oil for fat for shiny coat.
With the China scare I was not worried much since he ate mostly human grade food & the dog food I choose I read the labels for the most quality ingredients.
When I read these reviews, I admit since I've used this product for 2 years w/o issues on a sensitive dog, I never checked the origin like I do when debating new dog food products. I checked the internet & this product was never on the recall list & they had their product analyzed by a lab very soon after the massive recall to prove they were safe. (Do a search.)
Considering almost all dog products have grains, there are soooo many dog "cookies" it's very hard to find simple meat treats w/nothing added.

I also don't want any food made in China
I want to thank the other consumer for noticing that dogswell chicken strips were made in China. I do NOT want any food for my pets from China. They cannot be trusted. 2008-05-07

"MADE IN CHINA"
We lost a dearly beloved animal companion due to the poisoning of pet food from China. He enjoyed that food very much and then it killed him.
I have been to China and met many lovely people and they of course are not all responsible for that tragedy. But until we have been convinced that our trust will not be violated again (pet food, toothpaste, painted toys) we will not consume anything from China and neither will our critter companions.
If they will produce this food and the ingredients in a safer location, where stricter controls are in place, we will buy it.
