Horizon Organic Reduced Fat Milk, Vanilla, 8-Ounce Aseptic Cartons (Pack of 18)

My daughter will not drink white milk at preschool, so I send this for her for her lunch. She likes it and it is very convenient. Kept it in the diaper bag when she was little. Great for on the go and travel. Amazon is PRICEY though. I can get this at BJ Wholesale Club for around $13 for 18 pk year round.

An absolute favorite in my house. My son would drink ten of these a day if we let him! He even prefers them to the chocolate variety, to which my daughter is partial. This price on Amazon is crazy. I got a pack of these this morning for $13 at my local Acme!

Organics consumers should know that Horizon is owned by Dean Foods, at $10 billion of annual sales and controlling about 50 different dairy brands in the country, the largest dairy processor/marketer in the United States.

A large percentage of their milk comes from their corporate industrial-scale dairy, with 8000 animals, in the desert-like environment of central Idaho. They say that 80% of their milk comes from "family farmers" but some of those "farmers" are also milking thousands of animals.

There are serious questions as to whether or not these farms are meeting both the letter and spirit of the organic law.

Love this product. A bit on the sweet side but I love the convenient non-fridge perk of being able to store it in the pantry and pack one (or 2 as my daughter requests) in her lunch box and fridge it overnight singularly for the next day!

milk is always great, this is a little on the sweet side more for desert and a little think b/c i drink skim usually but still delicious
