Mealy
They're edible, but they've got that 1970's health food store kind of mealy stale taste. There are plenty of competing products which are tastier and still made of 100% natural organic ingredients with no added sugar. The manufacturer seems to have spent millions of bucks on an expensive and annoying marketing campaign which glosses over the fact that there are better, tastier options out there. Try the fruit leather from Trader Joe's, or the really good Clif Kids fruit ropes instead. 2007-11-07

Awesome
This product has a funny taste on the first bight (if you're used to processed or artificial food) but then you sink in. They're incredibly filling, only have 40 calories, and you can carry them anywhere. A truly awesome product. 2007-10-24

Yummy
My girls have been eating Stretch Island Fruit Leathers since they were two and now the FruitaBu. They prefer these over candy or a candy bar as a snack. (and they beg for them!!) Yes, it is much better to eat the real thing always, but this is easy for on the go. I spend the same money as a candy bar or bag of chips, but the reward for their body is so much the greater! 2007-09-21

Only 40 calories and great taste
I bought these at a local store.... for $1.99. So I really can't complain about the price. They taste wonderful though. I try to stay away from things packed full of sugar. These don't have any added sugar. They are chewy and taste just as good as a fruit rollup. I do have to comment about the other review.... They probably do have only 10 cents of juice in them, but then they still have to cover the cost of the facility, workers, transportation, advertisement, etc. So at 45 cents a piece(Amazon cost), that is still not bad. How much would you spend at vending machine for something really unhealthy? 2007-09-10

tastes good, lousy value
These make a decent snack but really I can't fathom why they cost as much as they do, there's much less than 10 cents of actual fruit in each one. I know organic fruit is not cheap but really you would be much better off just buying that and eating it. 2007-08-30
