What's in the can?
The cans contain boneless skinless sardines or boneless skinless mackerel fillets? The heading says both. The reviewers talk only about sardines. Please advise. I'd like to order a case of sardines.

excellent product
Great taste and texture, not to salty. Eat by themselves or on crackers, or with eggs or pasta etc. Great snack or meal. Nothing negative to say about this product.

Love these fish.
I only eat the skinless and boneless sardines. These Reese brand are excellent tasting. Can't beat the price either. I ordered 3 cases and saved another $10 from Reese along with free shipping. This makes my cost per can about half of the price at the grocery store. Omega oils, fewer contaminents than eating tuna or other high on the food chain seafood. Sardines are a perfect food for me.

larger and lighter than other sardines
I purchased these sardines as a food-storage item to have on hand when quick, nutricious protein is needed for a meal or to take with me in my car. They are well suited for both of these purposes. I dislike fast foods, so it is nice to have a can of sardines in my car and some good rice cakes or Wasa crackers to eat when the blood sugar gets low. These sardines also make a quick dinner when combined with other delicious grocery items from Amazon, such as whole wheat couscous and Tasty Bites eggplant.

As to the product itself, Reese's sardines are unlike other sardines I have tasted. They are large and firm with no skin and no bones. They are pale in color and mild in flavor. My husband likes them because they don't have bones, but I have to admit that I like the little, smelly ones packed in a can like, well, sardines. Especially when packed in mustard. These seem more like "fish steaks" to me, but they are pretty good, and they fit a "food niche" for me.

You get two servings per can, and the cans are packed in yellow boxes, not the dark ones you see here. They are cheap, handy and loaded with good quality protein and omega-3 oils which are good for your heart and your brain. Worth the price, I think.
