nothing good at the supermarket
I order the case because this is good stuff. When the case is gone, I will order another. This tuna is not perfect. Ive had better but not at the supermarket for sure. I like this tuna just out of the can. A few drops of balsamic, hot sauce, lemon and I'm set. The cost is unbeatable for the quality you get and the enjoyment factor.
It is not because I am Italian or anything. I just have a keene sense of what is good and bad tuna. I simply cant do anything with the popular brands out there, maybe you can. My cousin Betty was a master tuna salad maker girl and ever since Ive been searching for that special can. This tuna won the taste test championship tournament not too long ago by the way.
Great job Progresso

Best canned tuna ever!
This is the first review I have ever written on Amazon, but felt compelled to do so after trying this product.
I have been a tuna eater for over 30 years but never tried (or even heard of)Progresso Tuna. After reading reviews, I took a chance and purchased a case from Amazon. I was richly rewarded. Without question the best canned tuna I have ever eaten. I will never go back to Starkist or Chicken of the Sea. There is virtually no fishy odor when you open the can and the meat is nice and chunky, not the fishy mush that you get when you open some of the other brand's products. And I did not have any problems with dented cans as a couple of reviews had mentioned.
Consider me hooked.

No other Tuna comes close
This was rated best in a New York Times taste test in 1997 and number one again in the leading consumer magazine. You wouldn't think it could matter than much, but it does. We used to add a ton of mayo to white tuna packed in water. This one goes on sandwiches, salads and pasta right out of the can. The big supermarket brands taste like cat food by comparison. 2007-10-21

Progresso Tuna in Olive Oil
I've loved this product since I was a child. Feel safe eating it once a week, since Consumer Reports has said that light tuna has much less mercury than Albacore. They also rated this one tops in taste. In any event, I rarely bought it before because of the price (over $3.99 a can here), but Amazon has it for a lot less, and with free shipping on order over $25, it's a fantastic deal. 2007-10-09

Progresso Tuna
This is the only tuna my family will eat. Unfortunately it is not available in the stores in the small town we live in. So I order it online. 2007-08-20
