Bob's Red Mill non-fat dry milk powder
I purchased this to use for cooking; but tried a cup of this milk to drink at room temperature to get the taste so I could plan my recipes better. I was very surprised! It actually tasted good; even not cold. I also tried this milk on my great-niece and she absolutely loved it! This is one I will use for a long time....just don't change what don't need fixing, okay Bob's Red Mill?

Great for baking and in cereal.
I've never drunken this straight but I've used it in cereal and making pancakes etc. It's great. I love that it is cheaper than conventional milk AND is hormone free. The hormones in milk freak me out. This stuff is great. No more wasted milk - I just mix up two cups at a time.

I have no problem mixing it - I just put it in a bowl with water and whisk it.

Packaged in Oregon but where did this milk originate!??
I use this milk powder for baking and am very glad to have it on hand since we often did not finish a carton of milk and it took up valuable space in the refrigerator.

It does smell nice but I am concerned about Bovine Growth Hormone and will switch to Organic Valley milk powder when I run out.

This item was one dollar cheaper last year.

Unfortified
Amazon's description of this item erroneously claims that it is an "excellent" source of vitamin D. While the taste of this milk is comparable to fresh milk, it is not fortified with vitamins A and D like almost all dry and wet milk. It's still a good product, but is probably best used for baking and not for meals that center around it (like cereal). Bob's stinginess in not fortifying this milk and its slightly unpleasant odor lead me to recommend against buying this product if you don't have to.

Got milk? Yes, always!
Maybe it's easier to mix because I only do a glass at a time, but it really isn't difficult. I just stir it briskly with a spoon, smoosh a couple lumps, and it's good to go on my cereal. So don't be put off by that because this makes the name-brand stuff seem tasteless. It's much creamier, smells like real milk, and a bargain at that price. I'll be buying it again.
