Clif Builder's Bar, Protein Bar, Peanut Butter, 2.4-Ounce Bars (Pack of 12)

I feel like I've tried most every bar on the market with a balance of carbs and protein. When Clif released these bars I was happy because they were easy to source and I felt like they would be around for a while.

Unfortunately, the more of them I ate, the less I liked them. They're still better than the majority of what's on the market, but taste-wise they're not the best.

On the plus side, you can trust the natural ingredients Clif uses and these aren't loaded with carbs like so many "energy" bars out there.

For my tastes, the Luna Sunrise and Mojo lines are preferable - partly because the bars are a little smaller. The Builder bar at close to 300 calories is a little larger than I would prefer as a snack.

These are really good for you (wholesome ingredients), filling and nutritious enough to replace a meal, delicious (REALLY tasty), and reasonably priced (especially when bought by the box). The only thing I don't like, which may be a function of shipping, is that the coating is a bit crumbly -- so be careful if you're eating a bar in the car!

I've tried a lot of energy bars. i use them while I'm camping and as high-protein snacks when I am watching my weight. These Builder Bars are the BEST! They are hefty in weight - you get your money's worth. They are chocolaty and candy-like, though they are high in protein. They are a perfect meal substitute if you are hiking, camping, fishing, or somewhere that you can't stop to make a meal. I have these on subscription order - they come every month and we eat them all. This is an incredible price, too.

i am 70 years old and they give me energy like no other bars i have tried. i race sport cars and i do not get as tired with these bars and coffe. must get the builders bars they are only one that work for me. larry

After trying several bars and hating the chalkiness and bad aftertaste I finally found this bar. They're both chewy and crunchy, the chocolate satisfies my sweet tooth, and they keep me satiated until my next meal. Plus the fact that they don't use hydroginated oils or corn syrup to sweeten the bar - along with using healthier alternatives and this bar wins over any other bar out there.
