Old El Paso Flour Tortillas for Burritos, 8-Count Packages (Pack of 12)

This was my first ever order of a food product from Amazon.com. After reading the negative comment about it I was hesitant but I really respect the label. Old El Paso products are very good to excellent, depending on your preferences. So I gave it a try.
I live in Coastal California and ordered on 1/29 and just received the box today, 2/5. They came in resealable cellophane bags and were dated as being good until July 22.
Because they of this long shelf life these tortillas are treated with preservatives to maintain freshness. They are probably machine made which may be indicated by the thickness of the individual tortillas.
My real test of the tortilla was to see how it came out after heating in the microwave on a paper plate for 30 seconds, uncovered.
What a surprise! Not only did it smell great but the tortilla was so tender and soft that it literally melted in my mouth (figuratively speaking!).
They were well worth the purchase. My estimated cost comparison to what I buy locally would place locally obtained comparable product at only a slightly less cost of a penny per torilla! A definite convenience for at-home delivery where grocery outlets do not offer such a service.

These tortillas were dry and brittle even though the expiration date was far in the future. We ended up donating them to a food bank here because they were not high quality.
