Great Red Palm Oil for my Cockatoo..and myself
I own a Molucuun Cockatoo and she was picking at her feathers. I found out through a parrot forum that Red Palm Oil was good for this. They referred me to this seller. It's been two weeks and I already see the difference. Her plumage is getting rich and full and I couldn't be happier with this Red Palm Oil. I also put some in my oatmeal as it is high in antioxidants. Shipping was fast and communication was perfect. I highly recommend this seller and product. 2008-10-24

Natural suplement for African Greys
Some African Grey owners claim that adding Red Palm Oil to their bird's diet aids in their bird's health and stops them from plucking their feathers. I bought this product for all of those reasons. My bird raves over dinner now and I noticed that her feathers are "shinier" and her red tail is brighter than it used to be. Unfortunately is has not helped her with her plucking problem. But since the red palm is a daily food in the African Grey's natural habitat I will continue to add it to her dinners. 2008-06-29

Works quite well...
This isn't a joke, but it is useful advice.
I bought this oil because I have a parrot with a feather plucking problem. I've been adding about half a teaspoonful daily to her soft food for about 3 months and the results are terrific. She's almost back to full feather and has not plucked a single pinfeather since we began adding it.
This is a logical solution. Palm nuts are a part of most parrot's natural diet. It only makes sense that red palm oil contains nutrients that are otherwise missing in a caged bird's diet.
Your mileage may vary since feather plucking is a complex mystery, but in my case it's been a miracle cure for our cantankerous eclectus.
