The Beef Teriyaki is very good
I bought the beef teriyaki with rice and am happy to say it is quite tasty. It looks a little mushy after you mix it up but thats not a problem really. The texture in your mouth is good and there is a quite satisfying teriyaki sauce taste to it. This is important because if you've had real teriyaki you know that the sauce really defines it and if they skimp on that it becomes an issue. That is not a problem here.
The only con is its a little tricky to mix and get prepared just right. The beef chunks are large enough that sometimes water doesn't seep in and reconstitute it like it should and you end up getting a beef chunk that is partially dry and crunchy inside. This is easily solved though by ensuring to mix with the full 3/4 cup of boiling water and mixing it better than normal before covering it to heat.

Mountain house is a favorite of ours.
We've purchased these products to add to our emergency food supply. They are the best fit for us since they are lightweight and have about a 30 year shelf life, so there's no real worries about rotating our 'stock' to use up expiring items. We figured, in our senior years, if they haven't been used, we'll have easy meals to keep us going in our RV! (we hope we get there!) 2008-09-15

Just Like Corn On The Cob!
This Stuff is Great!
It tastes just like fresh off the cob!
Great Texture, easy to prepare, and stores for 35 years!
As of today, there is alot of talk about possible food shortages,
there are already food riots all over the world, and our farmers are selling corn to make fuel, not to put on your table... If you found your way here, and are wondering if you should perhaps "stock up" the ANSWER IS YES! So buy some mountain house, its the best out there, and lasts for 35 years or longer! You will eventually use it, in the next 35 years.

How do they get Lasagna in a can?
Ha! Yeah, how do they?
I actually like Mountain House's Freeze Dried Lasagna, I would have rated it 5 stars, except it isn't exactly lasagna. Its more like an "Italian Pasta and cheese stew". Its a bit messy, but really Darn Tasty! You get alot of Mini-Lasagna noodles in a sweet tomato sauce, with real cheese chunks. Trust me it tastes alot better than I made it sound! The Stuff in the #10 cans keep for about 35 years! And it doesn't get any easier to prepare, Add water, wait!
