Great Sauce but not worth the price.
This is a great sauce. But not worth the price here in the states.I use to live in Costa-Rica.I use to put this sauce on rice and beans and meat.I belive the A-1 lines of sauces are better priced than this stuff. My wife is a Tica and she agrees with me.Why pay $10usd for something that should cost $2usd.This sauce would have a **** star rateing.but because of the price i give it **.I understand that i should call this salsa since i speak spanish.Sorry but i live here in the USA.We refer to this as a sauce.I understand the Ticas have to pay shipping to get this stuff over here.CR is right bellow the USA.How is it a sauce from Japan of this size only costs 4-5 bucks tops.Somebody is riping us off here. 2008-03-12

Great stuff, but wow - quite pricey!
Just came back from Costa Rica and have to say that this stuff usually makes rice and beans and/or eggs, etc. outstandingly better. Brought back several containers of it as souvenirs for friends, better than a postcard (anyone who's experienced the Costa Rican postal service knows that anything you mail from there probably won't make it to the states anyhow).
I was hoping to find an affordable way to replenish my own stock when the two 700ml bottles I purchased there ($5.00 each nearly anywhere) run out - they're more popular around my household than I had anticipated. But I can't understand how the prices in the states can be about five times what these sell for in the supermarket down there. It's good stuff - but not THAT good. I'll bring a second suitcase next time, but ketchup will have to do after my stash runs out...
It's made by Unilever, a giant multinational. Odd that they don't assertively market it in the 'states because it is a tasty sauce.

Best All Around Latin Salsa
This is an unbelievable sauce. It is called a salsa simply because that is the word for sauce in Spanish (I hope I don't offend those of you that are familiar with latin food by saying that). It is not a salsa like we think of in the States, no chunks of tomato or anything. Simply a smooth sauce that can be used on anything to make it more twangy and awesome. I have been searching for a way to get this in the States and am so happy to have found it! BUY THIS SALSA. When I lived in Florida they did not import it at the Latin grocery stores and it could only be bought by flying to Costa Rica. 2008-01-12
