Heinz Beans in Tomato Sauce, 13.7-Ounce Can (Pack of 12)

I find the treacly versions of American baked beans inedible, cloying to the palate. Since a visit to London I have been searching for the baked beans I was served as part of breakfast fare. At last I have discovered them. These beans have a tomato, rather than a sugar, base. They are pleasant, even refreshing, and delicious served on toast.

I also have good news: THESE BEANS CAN BE PURCHASED AT UPPER SCALE GROCERY STORES IN THE U.S.

After ordering mine from Amazon, I went grocery shopping and was amazed to see cans of these beans sitting on the grocery shelf. Now I live in a small town where a lot of specialty items are not available, so those living in big cities should have no trouble at all in obtaining them.

Love the beans, but the shipping is horrible. I bought the 12 pack, and every can was dented. Two of the cans were actually folded. Until Amazon is willing to spend the extra half cent and add another layer or three of those inflated bags, I will not be buying from them.

I love these beans. I eat em cold right out of the can frequently - but they are delicious heated also :)

I grew up eating beans on toast and always missed them after moving to the States. I'm so glad to have a easy way to get them online. I really wish that Amazon would package them better as the cans were quite beat up when I got them.

No American beans can compare to Heinz beans! Yes, they're pricier, but they're so good! And buying them in bulk is even better. We will never be without our baked beans on toast anymore.
