Thank God I found this on line!!
I used to buy this at Publix, but they stopped carrying it. Then at Albertson's-same thing. Now I will buy on line, even if I have to buy a case. I tried the other brands...Krusteaz, etc. They are AWFUL. Classique Faire even smells different and lovely while baking. Everyone in the house can smell and taste the difference when I've tried lesser brands and ask "What happened to the good stuff?" I cannot understand why major retailers are dropping them unless it's just the bigger company brands are squeezing them out of the shelf space. What a shame.... 2008-06-29

best waffle mix available
Having tried most of the commercially available waffle mixes, and several 'from scratch' recipes. the Classique Faire mix has the best flavor of all. It is very simple to use, and produces light, crisp, flavorful waffles. The optional pancake recipe is wonderful for crepes. My family insists that I only use this mix. 2008-05-04

YUM!! Easy and delicious!
Tastes great! Easy to make. Divine with a pile of fresh fruit on top! 2008-03-16

Best mix I've found
Unlike the other reviewer, I can still get this mix at my local Publix. I really recommend it; it's definitely the best waffle mix I've tried. The flavor and texture are great. 2007-05-07

Classique Fare Belgian Waffle Mix
This is the best waffle mix you can buy. I was able to purchase this at Publix for years then it became hard to find. I had to purchase from a online seller buy the case. Not a problem-freezes well for over a year in box. The packs are two to a box-five waffles to a pack(min.). Add blueberries and you have yourself a great breakfest. All other store brand Belgian Waffle mix offered in every store chain pale in comparsion. The person that said this was awful... a few ideas. Heat the water you add for 1 minute in microwave- this makes the dough rise for fluffy waffles-then do the same for the butter you add to the mix ( this adds moisture to the dough) stir in blueberries and everyone here asks for seconds. My husband eats breakfest in Amsterdam six times a month and he has never complained nor made comparisions about these waffles- nothing but excellent taste with a real hint of malt flavoring.
Some math- National Breakfest Chain $7.00 for one Belgian Waffles or 10 waffles for $3.79 plus the cost of the blueberries- how can you beat that! Don't forget the fresh whipped cream!
