Read the ingredients, folks!
Read the labels:The competitor's brand, Joyva, also has corn syrup and franken (hydrogenated) fats listed as the main ingredients. I'd prefer this one stick to my teeth for a few minutes, rather than the other brand, which will stick to my arteries! This is great stuff, and not as sweet

Camel Halwah
A wonderful product -- not too sweet and very satisfying. I love to have some of these in my desk drawer at work for the mid-afternoon hungries -- and co-workers know where to come to get them! They don't wreak havoc with blood-sugar levels --- a pleasure all around! Highly recommend; great product.

Very Disappointing
This halvah was a real disappointment. I had thought you can't really go wrong with halva - but I was too naive. This "natural" halvah is greasy, rather tasteless, and with unprocessed white strands that get stuck in ones teeth. The pistachios are tasteless also and often so inedible or hard that one can only (delicately) remove them from ones mouth. Stick to other brands of Halvah.

I hated Halvah... until I bought this one
I had no interest in Halvah. I hated the texture and the taste. But my wife likes it, so when this went on sale, I bought a box of the pistachio and a box of the "deluxe" for her. She was pleased with the products, but to my great surprise, I found I also enjoyed both flavors very much! The texture is slightly crumbly; it is not cloyingly sweet; the bars contain real pistachios or other nuts. This was a terrific buy, given the price and quality.

barely resembles Halvah
I live in an area with a very large Arab and Jewish population. When I wanted Halvah, I just bought it anywhere and enjoyed it. My experiences completely unprepared me for this product. This product is completely tasteless and has a texture of bad, dry sand. I wonder if it supposed to be some sort of low fat, diabetic version. Well it isn't promoted as such and I recommend completely avoiding it.
