I hate leaving this review...
Let me preface this w/the fact that I rec'd my money back.
But that's not the point. I had ordered this for a special dinner. I ordered in mid-January, thinking that I had lots of time until Feb.
They spent 2 weeks before they *shipped* the package. I didn't complain. But of course, they *shipped* the package on a day that it would be impossible to receive it w/o it spending a weekend somewhere. And of course UPS screwed up the order and sent it to the wrong city.
I had to send an email. Which of course as someone who orders many things on Amazon I have done before.
The difference is, that all I rec'd from these people was a belated email informing me of a refund. No thought to 'gee, we screwed up this order, let's ask the customer if he wants us to redeliver it'.
So, it's a company that has little experience dealing w/mail order. And to confuse things even more, they themselves stopped the delivery, and then sent an email explaining how they deliver w/dry ice and it would have shown up fine. Um. they shipped on a Tuesday. The package would have shown up on the following Tuesday. It doesn't take a chemistry professor to know that this doesn't add up.
If they instead had *called us*, and actually asked me how I wanted to dispose of the order, they would have won a customer for life.
I would give them 1 star, but for the fact that it *is* Eastern Cue, they finally (after 3+ weeks) issued me a refund), and we sorely would have loved to try out this product.
Unfortunately, for us, we don't trust this shipper to ship their products in a timely manner. Nor to properly rectify the situation if they do screw up. There's no sense paying top dollar for things, spend hours trying to track down why something doesn't show up, and then have a vendor who doesn't understand that time is the most important thing in life--and they appear to think it's *their* time you are talking about.
