Best Razor ever plus best cartridge replacement
Cartridges are replaced without ever touching them. They snap right into the Fusion razor and can be replaced by just pushing the button on the cartridge. They last about 2-3 weeks and always give a smooth no-nick shave. Gillette has come up with the perfect razor and perfect blade replacement system.

Overpriced, poor quality blades
The replacement blades, which cost big money, definitely last very little time before they become dull. I thought I was the only one who noticed this and switched to a Braun electric razor but if you read the other reviews you'll see that other men have done this as well.

I got the Braun Series 7- 790cc (9595) Pulsonic Shaver for $199.99 about a year ago, and periodically (right now for example) you can get $50.00 in gift certificates with the purchase of any Braun electric razor that is over $130.00. So I got an amazing razor, the best they make for $150.00 since I'm def going to be using the gift certificates for stuff I need. I no longer have to buy a new pack of blades every 4 weeks (only have to replace the blade set once a year now for $25.00) and no shave cream (have to buy a few cleaning and lubrication packs though for about $40.00 for a years worth) and I never get irritated skin anymore.

So now I spent $150.00 + $25.00 + $50.00 = $225.00 for the first year and a half I've used this razor instead of $25.00 x 18 months (what I had been paying every 4 weeks for blades) + $100.00 (18 months of shave cream) + $15 for stupid razor handle-thing= $565.00

So Gillette Fusion, or comparable manual razors, cost roughly 2.5 times what it cost me to operate the best Braun electric razor. Most men might not change their blades as often as I did but the things got dull so quick I don't see how it could be avoided.

Closet shave ever!
These EXPENSIVE blades work as advertised. This is the closest shave I've ever gotten from a razor. I have pretty tough facial hair. But these blades cut through them like butter and with less irritation than the Mach 3 I used before. I worried that so close a shave would encourage razor bumps and ingrown hairs. But that was not a problem with these blades.

My only complaint would be how darn expensive these things are. In spite of that, I would still recommend them.

Rough experience, too many blades too close to each other for thick hairs
I had lost my Mach 3 Turbo, so I decided upgrading to new Gillette Fusion Power with 5 blades. I got thick and hard hairs. These five blades are too close to each other creating a very rough experience like ripping out my hairs and shaving my skin. Tried few times, but kept regretting. Finally, ended by buy Mach 3 Turbo.

Smooth but with a useless blade
Overall I like the shave I get using this razor, but there are two advertising pitches that are very dubious.

1) that extra blade for "precision" shaving of the side burns (or lack of) is utterly useless. it takes multiple tries to get the angle right to shave at all, and even when it does, it skips. and it gets clogged with hair.

2) the "power" aspect of the razor, being that vibration that travels up to the head, does not help at all. in fact, it makes things more difficult for me because i cannot feel how smoothly the razor is gliding over my skin. i shave without a mirror, so i need to be able to feel whether it's dragging (cutting) or not.

i would not recommend this razor to others, but it did a decent job. i give it 3 stars.
